Center for Global Education & Field Study

The Center for Global Education & Field Study empowers and supports the CC community to engage in intercultural, international, and experiential learning by leveraging the opportunities of the Block Plan.

We support students who study off-campus domestically, internationally, and on field study programs unique to the Block Plan, incoming international students, faculty who lead students on off-campus programs, and international faculty who require immigration services. We are located on the second floor of Armstrong Hall in rooms 213A-218 (southwest corner of the building).

Summer 2021: As Colorado College moves towards a rich on-campus environment for the 2021-2022 academic year, the Center for Global Education and Field Study will be transitioning from predominantly virtual appointments to a regular physical presence on campus.  This summer that transition will be completed in two phases.

June & July: Beginning June 2, the CGE&FS offices are committing to having on-campus representation each weekday from 12:30-4:30.  A representative of our Field Study, Study Away, or ISSS teams will be present in our Armstrong office suite each day during these hours.  Due to varying needs for work-from-home arrangements as well as staff vacation time, the schedule of who will be present each day will shift week to week, but know that whoever is present will be able to either assist students immediately or direct students to the most appropriate team member for assistance.   The lone exception to this schedule will be Thursday, June 17. Our staff will be on a strategic planning retreat on the 17th so the office will be closed on that date.

August: Beginning Monday, August 2, the CGE&FS offices will have on-campus representation daily from 8:30am-4:30pm, in many cases with multiple staff members on site each day.  Again, due to individual needs and vacation allowances, it is not possible to guarantee that any one staff member will be present on a given day, however, in August you can expect that someone will be present who can address your interests, questions, or concerns each day.

Of course, as our staff will be working throughout the summer, virtual appointments and communication via email or phone with any of our staff is always an option during standard office hours (8:30am-4:30pm)
