The Colorado Literacy and Learning Center's Reading Intervention Program is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) as a as a college/university meeting the IDA "Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading."

IDA standards provide research-supported documentation of what every teacher ought to know and be able to demonstrate, whether they are teaching dyslexic students, other struggling readers or the general student population.

Colorado College's Master of Arts in Teaching Dyslexia Specialist meets the International Dyslexia Association's "Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading."

Individuals completing coursework may sit for the national Academic Language Therapy Association Competency Exam for Multisensory Structured Language Education to qualify for national certification with the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) at two levels: Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) of Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP).
