    Alumni in the News Adam Robert Dickerson ’13 has been selected by Artistic Director Michael Novak to join the world-renowned Paul Taylor Dance Company. Julie Helm Alt ’79 is retiring after more than 30 years as a veterinarian in the Vail Valley. Pueblo physician James Stjernholm’s ’71 commitment to patients for more than four decades knew few bounds. Marquis Who’s Who, a premier publisher of biographical profiles, presented Bonita Lahey ’69 with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Lahey has 35 years of experience assisting companies through innovative business advisory services, strategic planning, marketing, product development, and business process refinement. Colorado native and CC graduate in 1930, Earl “Dutch” Clark was honored during the pregame ceremonies at the Super Bowl. Clark was honored as one of the top 100 players of all-time in the NFL. He was a star at Colorado College before going to the NFL where he played for the Detroit Lions. Molly Higgins ’72 is featured in this little-known account of eight Soviet women climbers who perished on a high mountain range 45 years ago in the worst storm in 25 years. David Burnett ’68 has photographed three moments of political turmoil including the House’s impeachment hearings of Donald Trump. The impact of cannabis from Colorado College classroom conversations to concerns about youth to emerging jobs. The concept of a giving circle – a group of individuals coming together to pool their money or time and collectively deciding what causes to support – isn’t new.     President Jill Tiefenthaler's Blog: Josh Raab ’11 and Katie Orlinsky ’05, who work for National Geographic as director of Instagram and a contributing photojournalist, respectively, showcase the power of photography to document how climate change affects the relationship between people, wildlife, and land. Manya Whitaker, associate professor of education, and Jake Eichengreen, executive director of the Quad Innovation Partnership, were two of six individuals honored with the Mayor’s Young Leader Awards for their contributions to Colorado Springs.

    TheSandB.comLiz Kolbe ’08, a Grinnel, Iowa native, was recognized at the Iowa State Extension and Outreach program’s Women in Agriculture conference for her work with Practical Farmers of Iowa.
