There are two kinds of transcripts: official student copies and unofficial copies.
Requesting Official Transcripts
Your official Colorado College transcript is bound by the Federal law FERPA (Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974).
Colorado College has retained Credentials Inc. to accept transcript orders over the Internet. Please click on the Transcripts Plus logo below to enter your order. Colorado College has appointed Credentials Inc. as the designated agent for processing and sending official electronic transcripts on behalf of Colorado College, official printed transcripts are still available for ordering as well. The PDF transcript that is produced using this service contains the identical information as the printed transcript and can be certified as unaltered by uploading the file to the company's website that is provided during the delivery process. Credentials Inc. has been granted the authority to deliver all such electronic transcript requests on behalf of Colorado College and respond to any inquiries regarding the transactions. If you are uncomfortable placing an order over the Internet, you can call Credentials Inc. at 1-847-716-3005 to place your transcript request. There is an additional operator surcharge for placing orders over the telephone.
You must have a valid EMAIL address so that we can communicate with you about the status of your order.
For credit card orders, we do not actually charge your credit card at the time you place your order. Instead, we validate your card information and "pre-authorize" the amount that will eventually be charged to your card when your order is completed. If your order is cancelled before it is completed, there will not be any charge to your credit card.
Before ordering a transcript, please review your unofficial transcript on SSB to ensure all courses, final grades, and/or your degree displays properly. Degrees take several weeks to post to the transcript, they are not conferred on the day of graduation. You have the order option to hold the transcript until grades for the current block are posted, or until your degree is posted.
You have the option to provide an attachment with an official transcript order. Once you indicate ‘yes’, instructions will be given after your order has been submitted. This includes attachments that need to be completed by the Registrar’s Office. We do NOT accept paper attachments in the office. You are responsible for uploading the document to the order. Certain application services will auto-generate a cover sheet, or you may upload one yourself.
Requesting Unofficial Transcripts
There is no electronic version (pdf) of an unofficial transcript.
To order an unofficial transcript please fill out the form below and either mail, scan, or fax the signed form to our office. Unofficial transcripts can only be picked up at our office or mailed out to the recipient. Unofficial transcripts are printed on standard paper white paper (8 ½ X 11 inches) without Colorado College’s seal or Registrar’s signature. These transcripts are usually for personal use, insurance policies, verification of enrollment, or certain scholarships.
