Ryan began working for Colorado College as the Director of Outdoor Education in 2012. He has taught courses in outdoor pedagogy and been published for his work in adventure education and rock climbing. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master of Science in Adventure Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. His extensive outdoor certifications include: technical rock climbing, avalanche analysis, backcountry skiing, and wilderness medicine. Ryan is active with the American Mountain Guides Association and the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education.

David began working for Colorado College Outdoor Education program in 2015. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master of Science in Recreation Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. David enjoys experiencing Colorado through a wide variety of activities including, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking and paddling.
Rachael Abler

Rachael began working for Colorado College Outdoor Education in 2015. Previously, she was the coordinator of the Outdoor Recreation Program at Colorado School of Mines, and has worked for various other outdoor organizations in both Colorado and Michigan. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Education from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Recreation, Sport and Tourism with an emphasis in Outdoor Programming from the University of Illinois. Her greatest passions for outdoor programming are providing first time experiences for student participants, and training student trip leaders to lead their peers in areas of hiking, camping, skiing, biking, paddling, climbing, and more

Kate recently began working for Colorado College Outdoor Education in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science from Sweet Briar College and a Master of Science in parks, recreation, and tourism with an emphasis in experiential education from the University of Utah. Kate prefers to spend her time outside paddling rivers, backpacking long-distance trails, and Nordic skiing.
