Typography

When you’re creating a project in text, the typeface you use shapes what you’re trying to say. Maintaining a consistent typeface in projects connects to and helps build the CC brand.

Primary Typefaces: Proxima Nova (body copy) & Archer (headlines)

CC uses two primary typefaces: Proxima Nova and Archer. Both are available through the Adobe Creative Cloud. Any employee with a College Adobe account can access these typefaces. (Need an account? Submit a request to ITS.)

Secondary Typeface: Mixta Pro (formal occasions)

A secondary typeface is one that is limited for special case scenarios. For example, Mixta Pro is an elegant serif, and usage is reserved for formal documents such as letters from the president, Commencement materials, or invitations to formal events. Mixta Pro should not be used on a regular basis. It is available through Adobe fonts.

Alternative Typefaces

There are alternative typefaces you can use when creating documents in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel that must remain consistent across platforms and operating systems. These typefaces are: Arial (substitute for Proxima Nova), Georgia (substitute for Mixta Pro), and Rockwell (substitute for Archer).
