In May of 1999, Robin Wilson visited the college and directed a lecture/drama illustrating the life of Lewis Carroll. A cast of close to 25 was drawn from the college community including the president of the college, Kathryn Mohrman. On the afternoon of the performance, the faculty common room (Gates Common room) was filled with members of the college community who roundly applauded the performers. John Fauvel, the visiting Fulbright scholar, was seen in his rare reprisal of the Mad Hatter role.
