Tuition Questions

If I take a block off, do I receive a tuition refund?

What is considered full time?

Three (3) units per semester.

How do I receive a tuition refund, what is the process?

You may receive a tuition refund if you drop below full-time status. You must submit in writing to the Dean of Students Office what your plans are and why you are dropping below full-time status. The decision will be made by either the Dean of Students Office or the Tuition Review Committee. The committee will review your appeal and notify you of their decision. The committee's decision is final.

If I go on a study abroad program, how is the tuition billed?

The tuition is billed to your student account for the majority of study abroad programs. Most abroad programs also have a program fee (which may incorporate room and board fees). The program fees are also charged to your student account. It is best to contact the International Programs office if you have specific questions regarding the study abroad programs offered and the billing process. Please contact 719-389-6918.

Are there other fees owed when going abroad?

Yes, normally airfare and maybe other travel expenses. Please contact the International programs office for more specific information about study abroad programs at 719-389-6918.

The college also charges a $300 administrative fee for all approved study abroad programs.  This fee is charged to your student account.

Do you participate in the Independent 529 Plan?

Yes. Please contact the Financial Aid office for more information at 719-389-6651.
