Off-Campus Living & Residency Exemptions

The residential requirement is a critical part of the Colorado College experience. As a result, all students must live on campus for the first three years of their enrollment at CC.

Seniors and MAT students are not required to live on campus and are automatically approved to live off campus.

To request an exemption to the residential requirement, students must provide verification of one of the following qualifications, complete, and submit the residency exemption form above.

The following are accepted exemptions:

  • As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the temporary 2-year residential requirement of the 2021-2022 academic year, you successfully pursued an off-campus lease for the 2022-2023 academic year and need to be exempted form the 3-year residential requirement as you are a rising Sophomore or Junior
  • Will live with a parent or legal guardian in Colorado Springs
  • Are married or are in a same-sex domestic partnership
  • Have dependent children living with you
  • Are 22 years of age or older
  • Are a veteran
