Any one of the following courses may be used to replace one of the 200-level electives in the mathematics major:

EC403 - Econometric Theory
EC404 - Advanced Topics in Mathematical Economics
EC406 - Mathematical Economics of Game Theory
EC407 - Mathematical Economics of Growth
EV212 - Energy: Environmental Thermodynamics and Energetics
EV309 - Population Dynamics of Wild, Harvested, and Endangered Species
EV333 - Atmospheric Dynamics
PC251 - Introductory Modern Physics
PC341 - Mechanics
PC349 - Thermal Physics
PC353 - Electromagnetic Theory
PC357 - Astrophysics
PC420 - Special Topics (General Relativity)
PC441 - Quantum Mechanics I
PC442 - Quantum Mechanics and Relativity II

Note that many of these courses have one or more non-mathematical prerequisites. However, faculty who teach these courses have expressed enthusiasm about having math majors take their classes, and some of them have indicated the willingness to waive prerequisites in some circumstances. If there is a class that you are excited about, please consider contacting the course instructor to inquire about the possibility of taking the class even if you don't have all of the prerequisites.
