International Students

Welcome to Colorado College - the best of both worlds: a close-knit and global community.

Colorado College welcomes international students to join our vibrant community and experience life at an accredited liberal arts college. Summer courses at Colorado College will help you expand your range of educational experiences, improve your English or study skills, and meet your educational goals.

If you are an international student participating in the .75 credit Pre-College Block course, you will be required to participate in an additional .25 credit course to meet visa requirements. If you are an international student participating in the 1.0 credit Block A or Block B course, you will not be required to take the additional .25 credit course to meet visa requirements. The deadline for international applicants to apply for the Pre-College Block is May 1, 2021.

Things to Remember

  • Once you have been accepted into the Pre-College program, you will contacted by the Office of Global Education with next-steps in regard to obtaining your travel documents. Be aware that you will need to make an appointment at your nearest U.S. consulate or embassy to obtain your visa.
  • Colorado College requires all summer international students to be enrolled in a minimum of 1.0 CC credit to issue an F1 visa. If you are enrolling in the .75 credit Pre-College Block, you will be required to take an additional .25 credit course to fulfill these requirements. If you are enrolling in the 1.0 credit A or B Block, you will not be required to take any additional courses to fulfill the F1 visa requirements. For this reason, cost ($5,000 USD) remains the same regardless of which Block you are enrolled in.
  • International students will be required to attend International Student Orientation (ISO) on campus before beginning class. More information will be sent to you after acceptance.
