Meet Our Staff

Jan Edwards, Director of Accessibility Resources & ADA/504 Coordinator

Jan's career in higher education has been dedicated to supporting an educational environment that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has 30 years of experience in directing disability support programs for college students, including serving as the director of Accessibility Resources at Colorado College since 2005. She also serves as CC's ADA/504 coordinator. In this role, Jan assists the college in promoting and maintaining a campus that is accessible and welcoming for students, faculty, staff, and guests of the college.

Jan earned her BA in psychology from the University of South Carolina and MA in education from East Carolina University. In addition to her expertise in working with students with disabilities, Jan has served as the director of a learning assistance center, an academic advisor, and an instructor of reading, writing, and ESL courses.

Sara Rotunno, Assistant Director of Accessibility Resources

Sara received her BA in sociology and elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado, and she furthered her educational journey by earning her MA in higher education at Saint Louis University. She began working at Colorado College in 2007 as a residential life coordinator and continued with Residential Life and Housing when promoted to the assistant director position. She is delighted to be part of a community that embraces student success. Throughout her career, Sara has been involved with student support through housing, programming, crisis management, and social justice initiatives. She joined the Accessibility Resources team in the spring of 2015 and is looking forward to continuing her work in serving CC's incredible students and its wonderful community.

Zac Lounsbury, Access & Accommodation Specialist

Zac Lounsbury headshot smiling with blonde hair Zac comes to CC with a diverse background in education. His experiences range from teaching Shakespeare to middle schoolers to leading instruction in a classroom for students with autism spectrum disorder to helping facilitate post-secondary social justice education curricula. Though diverse in range, each of these experiences focused on increasing accessibility and diversity in the classroom. Zac is delighted to continue this mission at Colorado College. 

Zac earned his BA in theatre from Middlebury College. He completed his graduate work in higher education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he also served as a disability services case manager.

Kimberly Chevalier, Accommodation Support Coordinator

Kimberly joined CC in July 2019 as the administrative assistant for Accessibility Resources and Summer Session. She transitioned into a full-time role with Accessibility Resources in October of 2021, serving as the Accommodation Support Coordinator. She received her BA in history and political science from Colorado State University. Kimberly has both personal and professional experience in supporting people with disabilities. She is passionate about continuing her work in the field by supporting CC’s diverse community of students.
