Requesting Services

We value a collaborative process as we work with students to establish services. Therefore, please set up a time to talk with the Accessibility Resources staff about your request for support services, your past use of accommodations, and the likely impact of your disability on your educational experiences at Colorado College. The information you provide is an essential component in the determination of reasonable accommodations and services.

Additionally, you should complete the Request for Accommodations and Services form and provide documentation of disability. You will have the option to submit documentation electronically following the submission of the Request for Accommodations and Services form. If you're not able to submit documentation electronically, you may email or mail the documentation—or just drop the paperwork off at our office.

Information on general documentation requirements can be found on our Documentation Guidelines page. We encourage you to contact Accessibility Resources for guidance on the documentation needed for your individual situation.

While students can connect with Accessibility Resources at any time during their enrollment at Colorado College, incoming first-year and transfer students who are requesting accommodations are encouraged to connect with Accessibility Resources as early as possible after confirming enrollment into Colorado College, preferably by June 30 for fall starts and October 31 for winter starts. This will provide sufficient time for our staff to evaluate your request and arrange for appropriate accommodations and support services. Please keep in mind, though, that these are suggested dates—not deadlines. You can submit your request for accommodations and services at any time.

In addition to submitting your request, you should schedule a phone appointment during the summer for a consultation with the Accessibility Resources staff if you are a fall start, or during the summer or fall if you are a winter start. Additionally, you should plan to meet with our staff upon arrival on campus, preferably before the first day of class. You can schedule this appointment during your phone consultation or by contacting our office.

If you have questions, please be sure to get in touch with us at any time.
