Esther Redmount - Esther Redmount taught at CC from 1987 to 2025. She received her B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary. She completed her Ph.D. also in Economics at the University of Virginia.  After completing her degree, she was a post-doc courtesy of the Lady Davis Fellowship Trust in Agricultural Economics at the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot, Israel. Her research focused on the impact of organizational design on worker and firm productivity with special attention to collective and cooperative farms. During a short stint at Gan Shmuel, she served in the Dairy and was taught how to milk a cow by hand.

Esther's research focused on how organizational forms and worker productivities interact.  She studied how families make economic decisions for their members and with what consequences for individual and group well-being. Her current research examines historical instances of signaling and screening in labor markets that improve the quality of the match between job seekers and potential employers.  Esther is a serious bridge player and a great admirer of cats.  She travels as widely and as adventurously as time, money and stamina allow.

 

 

Vibha Kapuria-ForemanVibha Kapuria-Foreman taught at CC from 1989 to 2025. She taught economic development and microeconomic theory. Her research deals with the history of early 20th century American economic thought and the determinants of foreign direct investment in low- and middle-income countries. She received her B.A. from Indraprastha College, University of Delhi, and her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
