Excel at CC is Colorado College's in-house professional development program. Workshops are designed for staff and faculty learning and are primarily facilitated by our in-house talent of higher education professionals. Participants who attend Excel at CC sessions can look forward to the opportunity to learn and grow their skills, as well as the chance to engage with other members of the campus community. 7/29: Best Practices for Working with Digital Image on the Web

Calling all web authors and others who regularly post images online! This session introduces terms, tools, and techniques that will assist you in publishing the best digital images on the web. Learn how to locate and edit images, evaluate copyright, and write effective alt-text. Leave with a plan to streamline your workflow. Bring your own laptop for hands-on practice.

 

8/5: Using Tiger Family Connection

This interactive training session is designed to help campus partners effectively use The Tiger Family Connection (CampusESP), Colorado College’s parent and family communications platform, to share information and engage families in meaningful ways.

Participants will receive an overview of the platform’s purpose and functionality, explore how the Tiger Family Connection supports coordinated and strategic communication with families, and learn how to serve as a content administrator. The session will include a guided walkthrough of key features, best practices for drafting and segmenting messages, and a hands-on working session to practice using the platform in real time.

Whether you are new to the Tiger Family Connection or are looking to refine your approach, this session will equip you with the tools and confidence to communicate clearly and consistently with CC families.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and come prepared to actively engage in the working portion of the training.
