Changes in President's Office Staffing

Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

Along with all of the great changes to campus this fall, we are also embarking on changes in the Office of the President.

Beginning Oct. 2, Special Assistant to the President Mary Frances Kerr will move to the Office of Communications with the title of director of strategic communications. Mary Frances has been instrumental in planning, communicating, and furthering the strategic plan and its major initiatives; supporting our Board of Trustees and Cabinet; and assisting me with relationships with donors, friends, and the community. She will continue to plan and guide our communications about the college's key strategic initiatives and facilitate presidential communications, while aligning and integrating those efforts with the Office of Communications' work.

I am pleased to announce that beginning Oct. 2, Kim Waldron will become chief of staff and special assistant to the Board of Trustees in the Office of the President. Kim currently serves as associate vice president for administration at Colgate University. In her role at CC, Kim will be my principal aide, serving as a resource for the Board of Trustees, the Cabinet, the extended leadership team, and other college committees, and working on special projects. Kim brings great leadership, skills, and experience to this role. Her previous positions include special assistant to the president and secretary of the college at Colgate; special assistant in the president's office at Mount Holyoke College; and university secretary at the University of Edinburgh. Kim holds a bachelor's degree from Colgate University and master's and doctorate degrees in geology from Yale University.

We all look forward to furthering CC's great mission and working with you this year!

Best regards,

Jill
