Overview

More than just an office, The Arts at CC seeks to make the arts an integral part of all members of our community. It will amplify the important work being done with the arts within the academic mission of the college and find new ways to collaborate across campus for greater impact and access.

Colorado College has a longstanding tradition of excellence in the arts. We provide robust curricular offerings through our visual, performance, literary, and media arts departments as well as offer rich and diverse programming in formal and informal spaces across campus. Our alliance with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center brings these opportunities for connection and engagement to a whole new level.

  • B-Side Collective
    • The mission of B-Side is to make music more accessible to students at Colorado College and Colorado Springs as a whole. The collective is specifically for females, riot girls, LGBTQIA+/queer, and gender-nonconforming students, however, our events and workshops are for everyone.
  • Colorado College Productions
    • Colorado College Productions is a student-run filmmaking and film appreciation group on campus. We produce our own films and support other filmmaking efforts on campus. We also host screenings, creative workshops, visiting speakers, and the CC Student Film Festival. We strive to create more opportunities on campus for those interested in film at any capacity, not just for film majors and minors. If you're a filmmaker or a major cinephile, this is the place for you!
  • Celecia K-Dance
    • Celecia K-Dance's goal is to further introduce and expose the Colorado College community to the rising Korean pop music industry through dance, and to provide a safe space to explore this unique and diverse dance style. We learn K-pop choreographies as a group to film and perform, as well as host workshops for CC students to participate in. We welcome dancers of all skill levels and experiences to join our group at any time!
  • Dance Workshop
    • DW is a creative biannual production with leadership, choreography, & performance all done by the student body. It's open to all skill levels, so go audition!
  • Ellement a capella
    • Ellement is Colorado College's close-knit and welcoming femme and non-binary inclusive a capella group founded in 1995 by Shawna Hedlund and Amy Studson. They arrange and perform songs across a wide range of genres for off-campus/on-campus events and their semi-annual concerts of original arrangements. They welcome auditioners at the beginning of each semester.
  • Llamapalooza Music & Arts Festival Committee
    • The best of the best. The greatest music festival at CC. Saturated with fun, considered unbeatable by most.
  • Room 46 a capella
    • Founded in the early 1990s, Room 46 is the all-gender a cappella group at Colorado College. We all love to sing and have an absolute blast sharing our music with our audiences. We value the wide range of voices in our group that create a unique and full sound. We sing a variety of different genres from the '20s to current pop music and perform at local events in the community and on campus! We hold auditions each semester. You can find us on Facebook and YouTube.
  • Sounds of Colorado College (SOCC)
    • The SOCC is the student-led organization on campus that manages a campus radio station and music blog in addition to putting on monthly live music events featuring student bands and/or smaller up and coming bands. Our programming is expanding to include more educational events and workshops.
  • SpeakEasy
    • SpeakEasy is a spoken word poetry group that focuses on the artistic development of its members through weekly workshops and practices. The group performs each block to provide the student population with their monthly dose of bars, rhymes, lines, and untold stories
  • Theatre Workshop
    • Theatre Workshop is CC's only student-run, -directed, and -produced theatre company. With our own budget and space, we offer students unique artistic opportunities while providing an eclectic performance calendar for the entire Colorado Springs community.
  • Theatre Workshop Improv Troupe (TWIT)
    • TWIT is the premiere Colorado College improv troupe. We're famous on campus for our 24-hour improv show where sleep deprivation and dreams meet improv.
