You're Hired!
Congrats! Let's get to work.
Once you've accepted a job offer on-campus, you must complete the instructions below before attending any work-related training sessions or completing scheduled shifts.
Please follow these Instructions
- Complete the Student Employee Training on Canvas.
- You will be required to bring your completion certificate to the Student Employment Office with the rest of your paperwork before you can begin working.
- Read the two-page Student Employment Quick Guide.
- (It is also your responsibility to read the Student Employment Handbook and understand all rules and policies. But this does not have to be done before you move on to the next step).
- PRINT and complete the Student Employee Hiring Packet with a blue or black pen using wet signatures (no electronic signatures accepted).
- You will need to provide identification when you bring the packet for processing. Please ensure you review the options and keep in mind that you must have the original documents. Copies are not acceptable. The acceptable documents can be found here.
- Domestic Student Employment Packet
- International Student Employment Packet
- Further information for International students can be found on our International Student Employment page
- Make an appointment to turn-in your employment packet and present your I-9 ORIGINAL identification documents (see packet for more details).
- Completed paperwork will NOT be accepted electronically.
- Identification documents for the I-9 must be original.
- No copies, pictures, or scans will be accepted.
- Documents cannot be expired.
After your appointment, you cannot begin working.
- You will receive an email from Student Employment once your paperwork has been processed with next steps to alert your supervisor you are ready for an EPAF (online hiring form).

Already a Student Employee?
If you are already working on-campus, or have previously worked on-campus, and successfully submitted your new student employment packet to Student Employment, you may not have to follow all of the steps above.
If you have been offered an additional on-campus position, you MAY NOT begin working immediately:
- Double check your paperwork has been processed by Student Employment.
- Go to Banner SSB and select "Employee" then "Student I9 Status."
- Search your name or ID, and if the tool says, "Okay to Hire" then your paperwork has already been processed!
- Inform your new supervisor that you have already submitted the student employment packet and they can submit an EPAF.
- You will receive an email from Student Employment when an EPAF in your name has been approved and you have a timesheet for your new job.
- Example of what a timesheet looks like here: Student Timesheet Example
- You must ensure you can see your new position’s title, click the drop menu and access the actual timesheet.
- Different jobs have different timesheets!
- Example of what a timesheet looks like here: Student Timesheet Example
- Once you can access your timesheet, you may begin to train and work! Contact your supervisor for training and scheduling.
