What happens after CC? Below is a listing of alums by year with, for most, short biographies of their post-CC lives - their studies, work, experience, and so on. We hope that this list will demonstrate the possibilities that a Philosophy major can open up. Also, for alums, this listing may provide a way to keep up with your former classmates!

Below are short biographies of alumni by year of graduation. Over time, we expect to add in all years, and then periodically update them. Click on particular years to open the list. The links associated with their names open internet pages supplying information about their experiences.  The bracketed dates show the last time we looked them up.

Zach Bailey

Nathan Brand completed an M.D. and M.Sc. in Global Health from Columbia University (2018). Following  graduation, he worked for the National Institutes of Health as a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow in the Laboratory for Translation Genomics. He then traveled to Malawi and Uganda where he spent a year volunteering in a rural clinic and working for the University of Minnesota researching pediatric severe malaria.  In 2021, he was a Research Fellow and General Surgery Resident at the University of California, San Francisco. Tracy Fields

Julia Hathaway is a Senior Investment Consultant at Sprott, a firm specializing in precious metals investing. Following graduation, she worked as a dogsled guide and expedition member.  After a year as a ski sales associate in Aspen, she joined Tocqueville Asset Management, where she worked for seven years.  She moved to Sprott in 2020 [12/2021].

John Knight completed a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the City University of New York Graduate Center in 2021, defending a dissertation entitled, "Object Expression: Diligent Realism in the Works of Roland Barthes, Elena Ferrante, Karl Ove Knausgaard, Valeria Luiselli, and W.G. Sebald." [12/2021]

Anh Lai (now Anh Lai-O'Connell) completed an M.S.W. from University of Pennsylvania (2012).  Following graduation from Colorado College, she worked as an intern and then psychiatric social worker in New Jersey.  In 2013, she returned to Colorado first as a psychiatric social worker and then as an oncology social worker, eventually becoming a manager at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers.  After seven years, she joined Meru Health  as a Therapist and Clinical Trainer (2021) and as a Team Lead & Clinical Supervisor (2022).  While continuing to work as a part-time Therapist at Meru Health (2022-present), she began working as a Clinical Manager (2022-23) and Interim Clinical Director of the Network Team (2023-present). Elizabeth Ludwig

Michael McGeary has been a winemaker and Technical Sales Representative at Enartis since May 2023, After CC, he was a post-baccalaureate student at Napa Valley College.  He then completed an M.Sc. in Viticulture and Enology from Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale (2018).  He worked in winery-related areas in Switzerland, Chile, and Virginia, before moving to Rocklands Farm Winery in Maryland as a Winemaker (2019-22). In addition to his work at Enartis, he has been Owner and Winemaker at Euda in North Carolina1 since 2022 and US Ambassador for Student Relations at the Ecole d’ingénieurs de Changins, a winemaking school in Switzerland. Peter Quirsfeld attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston after completing his CC degree.  He joined Frontenac Partners, an investment firm, in 2014, as an Associate Analyst. [12/2021]

Sherry Safavi received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020. After completing her undergraduate studies at Colorado College, she was Nonprofit Associate Intern at the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), working on human rights, non-proliferation, and civic engagement issues. In 2011, she held a Neurological Medical Observership at the Baylor University Medical Center. From 2012-2015, she worked in Boulder for IMM, a digital advertising and marketing agency as an SEO Monitor and Coordinator and then Client Partnership Analyst and Executive. In 2015-16, she was a Client Services Lead at Peel, a computer software firm in Mountain View, California, specializing in devices for live and streamed content.  In 2016, she moved to Digilant, a digital advertising firm, as an Account Manager.  While in law school, she served as Law Clerk at the Electronic Privacy Information Center and a Research Assistant the Georgetown Law School and at The Lawfare Blog. In 2019, she was a Summer Associate Law Clerk at Weil, Gotshal & Manages LLP, where is now an Associate Attorney. [12/2023]

Sarah Schulte completed a J.D. from University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2019.  She was Associate Editor of the Denver Law Review (2017-19), Law Clerk for the Native American Rights Fund (2018-19), and Law Clerk for the Jefferson County District of the Colorado Judicial Branch (2019-20).  Since 2020, she has been a Federal Interest Specialist at the Community Development Institute. Victoria Silver

Hannah Wallis attended the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies (2014) and completed a Joint M.A. in Latin American Studies and Multimedia Journalism from New York University in 2017. From 2010 to 2020, she was a Spanish and writing tutor to students from middle school to adult age and, from 2016, a freelance journalist and filmmaker.  In 2017-18, she was Senior Communications Consultant at the Shipibo Conibo Center and in 2018-19 Research and Media Strategist at the N.Y.U. Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. SIn 2020-22, she was Video Producer and Strategist at Worldview Films in New York, producing video and publications with an emphasis on climate justice. She moved to the Christensen Fund as a contract Videographer (2022-23); then to Nia Tero as a contract video produce; and most recently to Indufor Ltd as a contract Communications Consultant (2023). Ethan M. Baer is an entrepreneur and media executive. In 2011, he founded SubSythesis, LLC, a music publication platform in Boulder. In 2011, he co-founded Artist Intelligence Agency, a Denver company specializing in electronic dance music promotion, and he served as Director of Business Development until 2014. In 2013, he also co-founded in Denver EDM.com, which became the leading publication and media organization for global electronic dance music, and he served as CEO to 2019. In 2014, he moved Artist Intelligence Agency to Queens, New York, and re-founded it as the Indie Music Group, a record label with 15 imprints and a catalogue of over 4,000 recordings; and he served as its Executive Director.  He also co-founded Indie Music Publishing, the publishing partner of the Indie Music Group that represents 4,000 songwriters globally. In 2019, he became Senior Vice President, Business Development, and Head of Electronic for the Create Music Group, a leading Los Angeles music and media company. In 2021, he left Create Music to co-found Rebel Creator Services, a digital marketing agency that represents independent artists and creators, and Baer Necessities, a business development and strategy firm. He is also a partner in two clothing and merchandise companies based in Los Angeles, Electric Family and Top Drawer Merch [02/2022].

Bahman Batmanghelidj, following graduation from CC, was an AmeriCorps Founding Member in Denver.  In 2012 he became a Business Analyst at a commercial real estate firm in Virginia.  He was hired in 2013 by DuPont Fabros Technology, a real estate development trust specializing in leasing data centers, serving as Sales Operations Manager, and then as Sales Manager when the company was acquired by Digital Realty. In 2020, he joined CloudHQ, a global data center provider, as Sales Manager [02/2022].

Marie V. Blanc

Joel L. Bock is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at DePaul University specializing in the philosophy of technology, Ancient Greek philosophy, and 19th and 20th century German philosophy and writing a dissertation on the concepts of work and leisure in the philosophies of Aristotle, Hegel, and Bernard Stiegler.  He has received an M.A. in Philosophy from DePaul and an M.A. in German Studies from Middlebury College, and he has participated in exchange programs through Maastricht University, the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, and the École normale supérieure in Paris. Torrey M. Hata received a J.D. from the University of Colorado (2014) and is an Associate Attorney specializing in corporate law at Nevers, Palazzo, Packard, Wildermuth & Wynner, PC [02/2022].

Madeline S. Mindich received a Masters in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine from Bastyr University in Washington State (2016) and is an acupuncturist at Somawell, on the north shore of Long Island, New York [02/2022].

Andrew J. Parks

Zachary R. Podmore completed an M.F.A. in Environmental Nonfiction Writing from Southern New Hampshire University (2018) and is a journalist and film producer who has covered rural Utah politics, public lands and conservation issues since 2015.  He is the author of Confluence: Navigating the Personal and Political On Rivers of the New West (Torrey House Press, 2019).  He is a Report for America Corps Member covering conflict and change in San Juan County, Utah, for the Salt Lake Tribune. In 2019, he revived a local newspaper in southeast Utah, the Canyon Echo, which he edits [02/2022].

Christopher L. Shambaugh is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at University of Oregon.  He completed an M.S. in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh (2014) and an M.A. in Philosophy at The New School (2018). Christopher is also a Research Assistant at Monthly Review [02/2022].

Isaac L. Smith

Rebecca O. Spira completed a J.D. at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology (2019) and since late 2019 has been a staff attorney at Capital Area Immigrants'​ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, in Washington, D.C.  After college, she was a City Year AmeriCorps member in Denver (2011-12), an English instructor in Chile (2012-13), and a Legal Assistant at law firms in Chicago (2013-16).  In 2019, she was a Legal Intern at the National Immigration Justice Center in Chicago [02/2022].

Kristen E. Sweeney completed a J.D. at University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law (2014) and an M.S. in Management and Leadership at Western Governor’s University (2021). She worked as a Legal Intern at the Utah Crime Victims Legal Clinic (2012), the Utah Court of Appeals (2012), Intermountain Healthcare (2013-14), and the University of Utah Office of Sponsored Projects (2012-14).  Kristen joined Western Governors University as a Contract Specialist in 2014, later becoming a Staff Attorney (2015) and Assistant General Counsel (2019).  Since late 2019, she has been Western Governors University Assistant General Counsel and Legal Operations Manager [02/2022].

Max Alpert is a Director at New Western Acquisitions, a national real estate investment company. He began work at New Western as an Acquisitions Manager in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2013. In 2017, he became Regional Manager in Denver.  He has served as Director in the Denver office since September 2021 [02/2022].

Graham A. Borgman completed an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute (2017). Following CC, he served as a Community Intern at the Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City, California. In 2013, he became the Center’s Intern Coordinator and Maintenance Apprentice. In 2017, he worked as a volunteer at the Catholic Worker in Lakebay, Washington. Since 2018, he has been a Team Counselor at Windhorse Integrated Mental Health in Portland, Oregon; and he has a private practice in psychotherapy and counseling [02/2022].

Jacob C. Brownell is a J.D. candidate at Georgetown University Law Center. Following graduation from CC, he began working for KRCC-FM, first as an Intern and Associate Producer. Between 2013 and 2017, he served as Producer of several programs, as well as a host and reporter.  Since 2020, he has held several law-related appointments, including Research Assistant for the Georgetown Law Journal, Summer Law Clerk in the office of Minnesota Attorney General, and Summer Associate at the firm WilmerHale [02/2022].

Daniel Y. Corman is Director of Engineering at Betterment, an investment and savings software company in New York.  Following CC, he studied as a student at Hack Reactor, a coding ad software bootcamp in Austin, then became its Lead Software Engineer. In 2015, he joined SmarterHQ, an internet marketing and advertising company, as a Software Engineer and then Engineering Manager. He also served as Director of Web Development for Hello World, an Austin start-up that offers computer science education for children. In 2017, he moved to JW Player, a New York company focusing on video delivery online. He began as Software Engineer in 2017, eventually becoming Head of Core Engineering in 2021, before moving to Betterment in January 2022.  [02/2022].

Maggie Edmunds is an M.B.A. candidate at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. After CC, Maggie worked as a Trip Leader for Overland Summers and as Web & Marketing Coordinator for Telluride.com. In 2014, she joined Backbone Media as a Public Relations Account Manager. From 2016-18, she was Marketing Manager for Stio, an outdoor apparel company in Jackson, Wyoming. She joined the Vermont outdoor company, Orvis, in 2018 as Public Relations Manager and moved up to be Public Relations & Brand Manager in 2020. In 2021, she began her M.B.A. studies at Duke, with a focus on developing environmentally sustainable businesses [02/2022].

Vita Emery is a Ph.D. candidate and teaching fellow in Philosophy at Fordham University in New York City. Her dissertation research focuses on existential ethics, and she aims to develop new feminist critiques of social power [02/2022].

Robert E. Florance completed an M.B.A. at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (2017). After graduation from Colorado College, he worked as Software Developer at JP Morgan Chase in New York (2012-2014). Following graduate school, he worked as a Product Manager in the CEO Office of Rakuten, an e-commerce company in Tokyo. In 2018, he joined FIXER, Inc., a cloud computing firm, also in Tokyo. Since 2019, he has been Senior Product Manager in the Tokyo office of Moneytree, an Australian fintech company. From 2019 to 2022, he was Senior Product Manager in the Tokyo office of Moneytree, an Australian fintech company.  In October of 2022, he became Senior Product Manager at Mapbox, a global location platform that power navigation for a variety of companies and institutions in Salt Lake City. Cara S. Greene completed an M.A. in Critical Theory and the Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of New Mexico in Philosophy, with specializations on continental philosophy, critical theory, psychoanalysis, and phenomenology. Her dissertation research addresses modern sacrifice in Hegel and the Frankfurt School [02/2022].

Kieffer Katz is a freelance brand strategist, copywriter, and innovation consultant. After graduation from Colorado College, he worked as a Brand Strategist and Innovation Consultant at Consumer Dynamics, a marketing and advertising firm in New York. In 2016, he joined Red Antler, a Brooklyn brand development company focusing on startups and new ventures. He began his freelance consultancy in late 2016 in Portland, Oregon. Between 2017 and 2019, he also worked in marketing with the Greenbelt Alliance, a San Francisco Bay Area educational and advocacy group focusing on resilience in response to climate change [02/2022].

Elena M. Ketelsen (now Elena Ketelsen González) completed an M.S. in Bilingual, Multilingual, and Multicultural Education at Hunter College in New York (2015). After graduation from Colorado College, she spent two years as an educator with Teach for America in East Harlem. From 2014 to 2016, she was a Project-Based Bilingual Educator at the Castlebridge School in New York City. In 2016-17, she worked for the Brooklyn Historical Society as a Young Artists/Young Curators Educator. She then joined the Museum of the City of New York as a Per Diem Educator and then Lead Family and Community Programs Educator. She was Assistant to Family Programs at the Whitney Museum of American Art from 2017 to 2019 and Program Manager and Curatorial Assistant at the Gracie Mansion Conservancy from 2019 to 2020. She then joined MoMA PS1, an alternative arts center associated with the Museum of Modern Art, as Senior Fellow of Public Programs and Community Engagement and, more recently, as Assistant Curator.  She also founded in 2019 and directs La Salita, curatorial project and gallery dedicated to highlighting the work of Latin American and Latinx artists [02/2022].

Bridger Langfur is Deputy Field Organizer for San Diego City Council Representative Barbara Fry. Following graduation from Colorado College, he taught English for Colorado Idiomas and at the EC English Language Centre in San Diego. In 2015-16, he worked as a Technical Operations Coordinator for Search Optics, a digital marketing firm. In late 2016, he joined the staff of Council Representative Fry.  He also worked as a Community Representative for the City of San Diego in 2017-19 [02/2022].

Brendan Mehnert O'Donoghue is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer, and a member of the Denver-based Tenia Nelson Trio, a jazz ensemble [02/2022].

Margaret Osgood is pursuing an entrepreneurial career in software as sales (SaaS) in San Diego County.  Following graduation from Colorado College, she was a Sales Floor Manager at Teavana, a tea emporium. She studied computer programming at Santa Rosa Junior College, where she worked as Student Success Coach in 2017-18. She then worked in 2019 as Client Support Specialist at OrcaSong Farm, women-led, LGBTQ+ owned, not-for-profit, certified organic farm and climate resiliency education initiative in Washington State [02/2022].

Stuart Pidcock completed a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) at Cornell University (2015). Following his graduate studies, he worked as an Architectural Designer for designLAB Architects and Payette Associate Architects in Boston. In 2019, he joined his family’s multigenerational firm, The Pidcock Company in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he is a Land Planner and Architectural Designer. He also serves as Chair of the Architecture, Sustainability, and Technology Sub-Committee for the Lehigh Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Construction & Property Committee [02/2022].

Erik Rieger completed a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) in Ecosystem Science and Conservation and Geospatial Analysis at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment (2021). Following graduation from Colorado College, he worked for the American Alpine Club, where he served as Assistant Editor & Art Director and then Associate Editor of the American Alpine Journal from 2012 to the present. He also worked in 2015-16 as a baker in Colorado, focusing on traditional artisan methods; and at a Colorado organic farm in 2017. In 2018, he was a WOOFF Intern (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms), studying and working at organic farms in Poland and India. Since 2021, he has been a Soil Carbon Analyst at NativeEnergy, an environmental services firm in Burlington, Vermont [02/2022].

Gretchen L. Stempf is a founder and horse trainer at Tailored Equine Training in Larkspur, Colorado.  Prior to founding Tailored Equine, she worked as a horse trainer for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs [02/2022].

Andrew R. Streight completed an M.A. in Global Trade, Finance, and Economic Integration and a Certificate in International Law and Human Rights at University of Denver Josef Korbel School of International Studies (2017). Following graduation from Colorado College, Andrew served as Office Program Coordinator from for President Jill Tiefenthaler at Colorado College from 2012 to 2014. After completing graduate studies, he was Senior Associate-Consulting Focus at Corona Insights, a Denver market research firm, where he specialized in strategic planning for nonprofit, higher education, and government organizations. Since 2021, he has been Program Manager at Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade [02/2022].

Garland M. ("Max") Thorn completed his Master of Library Science at Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies with a Certificate in Archives and the Preservation of Cultural Materials (2021). Following graduation from Colorado College, he received a Publishing Certificate from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University (2012). He then worked in 2012 to 2014 as Editorial Assistant and Circulation Manager for the magazine, Jacobin. For several years, he was as a freelance fact-checker and media researcher. In 2018 and 2019, he worked at various archives in New York, including ones for the City of New York, Queens College, and the Pace Gallery. In 2019, he joined Queens College Library as an Adjunct Instruction Librarian, and in 2021 he was appointed Substitute Instruction Librarian [02/2022].

Andrew Allen-Fahlander is a musician, rancher, and store owner in Markleeville, California, a small town in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.  Andy worked on farms after graduation and then took a job with Weber Mandolins in Oregon.  Later he was a full-time musician in the Bay Area and ran the garden at his musical partner and spouse Avery Hellman’s family ranch in Petaluma, California. After the pandemic, they bought their own ranch near Markleeville, and later purchased the Markleeville General Store, which Andy oversees. He and Avery also continue to perform; and, in 2022, they organized the Woollystar Music Festival in Alpine County, California.  Additional citations. [12/2023]

Ashley Amato (now Ashley Hardy) is a Senior Software Engineer at OnXmaps, a GPS service for outdoor activities. In 2016 she worked as a Marketing and Event Planning Specialist for the Women’s Wilderness Institute then as Account Manager for Verde Brand Communication. She then completed a web development immersive education program at Galvanize in 2017, beginning her career as a software engineer. In 2018, she worked as a Software Engineer at Pennyworth.io and Backbone PLM before moving to OnXmaps in 2020. [12/2023]

Reginald Anderson completed a Master’s (2019) and Ph.D. (2023) in Mathematics at Kansas State University, after working as Corps Member of Teach for America in South Dakota. In 2023, he was hired at Claremont McKenna College as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics.  [12/2023].

Kelsey Bergeson is a Ph.D. candidate in Iberian and Latin American Linguistics at The University of Texas at Austin. In her time at the University, she has worked as a Graduate Media Consultant and an Assistant Spanish Instructor. After CC, Kelsey received a certificate for teaching K-12 Spanish at University of North Carolina at Charlotte while working as a Spanish teacher for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as part of the Teach for America Program (2013-2015). She worked as a Spanish teacher at the Paideia School in Atlanta from 2015 to 2017. Kelsey completed an M.A. in Spanish Language and Literature at Middlebury College in 2018 and taught Spanish at the Galloway School in Atlanta in 2018-19.  She began her doctoral studies at UT Austin in 2019.  In 2023, she was hired as an English and Spanish Instructor at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy in Austin. Benjamin Birtch completed a J.D. at Marquette University Law School in 2018 and is now an Associate Attorney at Hennessy and Roach, a defense firm in the Greater Milwaukee area. During his time in law school he worked as a legal intern for Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District II, a law clerk for Mark D. Richards S.C., and a legal intern for the Office of Lawyer Regulation (2016-2018). [12/2023]

Brielle Brilliant has pursued a successful career as a writer and film director since graduation, focusing her creative work on themes of liberation and the multiplicity of identity. She is the writer and director of the films Streakers (2018), Firstness (2021), and upcoming film All Dreams Take Place in the Parking Lot. She is the author of two novels, The Spud (2018) and The Curtsy Family (2018). Additional citations & [12/2023]

Zachariah Chapman is Resource Mobilization Director for The New Economy Coalition, a nonprofit seeking to build a just and sustainable economy. After CC, Zac was Executive Director at Food to Power, a Colorado Springs based food-equity nonprofit (2015-2020), then worked as Development Organizer at Food Rescue Alliance (2020-21).  After starting at the New Economy Coalition in 2021, he also became a Board Member of the Public Accountability Initiative and a Steering Committee Member of the Massachusetts Solidarity Economy Network in 2022. Alexei Desmarais is an Environmental Program Manager for the Yellowstone Project at Ecology Project International, an environmental nonprofit that engages local communities in youth development, leadership, and habitat conservation and that runs science-based travel programs for students and teachers. Alexei completed a certificate in business management at the Fullbridge in 2012. After CC, Alexei worked in Seattle as a program manager for YMCA Earth Service Corps (2013-14), as an Education and Habitat Specialist for Sound Salmon Solutions (2014-15), as crew leader for the Student Conservation Society (2014-16), and as an environmental educator at Magnuson Park Nature Programs (2016), before joining Ecology Project International in 2019. Patrick Hardy is a Senior Software Engineer based in Boulder, working for Salesforce, a software company providing customer relationship management service and enterprise applications focused on customer service, marketing automation, analytics, and application development. Following CC, Patrick worked as a climbing guide for American Mountain Guides Association (2012-2015) and as an independent traditional and folk musician (2012-2019). Patrick began his career as a Software Engineer in 2016, after completing a certificate in Web Application Development from Turing School of Software and Design. He worked as a Software Engineer for Aetna (2016-2018) and for Adventure Projects (2019-2020) before moving to Salesforce in 2020. [12/2023]

John Keenan teaches at the Mary McDowell Friends School in Brooklyn, where he is Upper School Head and instructor in Philosophy, Civics, and Quakerism. After graduation, John was a Senior Educator and Project Development Associate at Construction Kids, a children’s camp that served children in the five boroughs of New York (2013-15).  In 2015, he joined the Mary McDowell School.  He completed an Master's degree in Philosophy and Education at the Teachers College of Columbia University in 2020. Patric Knecht is a family physician at the Aspen Valley Hospital.  Pat earned his M.D. at the Central Michigan University of College of Medicine in 2007 and completed his residency at Fort Collins Family Medicine in northern Colorado.  He worked for three years as at the Stony Brook University Hospital, while his wife, Willow Mindich (class of 2016), was completing a doctorate in Philosophy at the university.  At Stony Brook, Patric served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family, Population, and Preventive Medicine, with a focus on marginalized populations, including many LGBTQ+ patients. He moved to Aspen in 2023. [12/2023]

Nick Lammers is the David Runyon Quantitative Biology Fellow in the Trapnell Lab at the University of Washington, Seattle.  After graduating from CC with degrees in Philosophy and Physics, Nick worked as a paraprofessional and data analyst for the Physics Department. Andrew Vierra is a lawyer and writer with research interests in neurolaw, criminal law, queer theory, and masculinity. Jason Gutierrez completed his J.D. at the University of Minnesota Law School in 2023. After being graduated from CC, Jason worked as a Judicial Intern at the Hennepin County District Court in Minnesota (2017).  He then moved to Washington, D.C., where was a Legislative Intern for Senator Amy Klonuchar (2018) and for Senator Charles Schumer (2018).  He then returned to Minnesota to be a Salaried Professional Service Consultant for Robert Half International, a human resource consulting firm (2019-20). Thomas Roberts received his J.D. cum laude in 2023 at Harvard Law School, with specializations in civil rights, education, disability, and constitutional law; and now he is a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. After CC, Thomas was Post-Undergraduate Fellow at the University of Regensburg in Bavaria, focusing on German and Philosophy (2017-18).  He was also an English Tutor and Translator for Spracheninsel in Regensburg (2017-2018). He returned to Colorado Springs and was a high school humanities instructor at the Thomas MacLaren School (2018-2020), before beginning law school in 2020. While at Harvard Law, he was a Summer Law Clerk at the East Bay Children’s Law Office in Oakland (2021); a Legal Intern at the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Defender Office in in the Northern District of Texas (2022); a Legal Intern at the Capital Appeals Project in New Orleans (2022); and Student Attorney at the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project (2021-23). Andrew Sanger

Andrew Scherffius began medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2023. After CC, Andrew was a Secondary English Teacher for Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (2017-2019). In 2019 he was a Community Organizer for New Era Colorado and an Intern at Quad Innovation Partnership. He then received an M.A. in the History of Medicine at McGill University in 2020, where he also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant and a volunteer at the Montreal General Hospital and the Jewish General Hospital of Montreal.  He completed a Pre-Medical Post-Baccalaureate Program at University of Vermont in 2021. From 2021 to 2022, he was a Laboratory Technician at Montana State University, where he assisted with research on CRISPR adaptive immune systems (2021-23). [12/2023]

Yuxi Wang

Christian Wulff is a therapist at the Boston University Wellness and Recovery after Psychosis without Walls Program, a clinic targeted towards adolescents and young adults with frequent substance use and psychosis symptoms.  Christian completed an M.S.W. at the Smith College School for Social Work, and he worked in mental health and substance-use therapy in Seattle and Brattleboro, Vermont, before joining the clinic WRAP clinic at B.U. Alice Xiang completed a J.D. at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2022, and now she is a Law Clerk at Causey & Ye PLLC in Des Moines, Iowa. While attending law school, she worked as a Corporate Legal Intern for COFCO International, a global agriculture supply chain company based in China. Silas Babilonia is a Grant Writing Specialist for AmeriCorps (since 2022) and freelance writer and editor. After CC, Silas was an Overnight Residential Assistant (2019-2020) and a Temporary Case Manager (2020) at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in Denver. He then worked as a COVID Contact Tracer for AmeriCorps in 2021 and as a Manager for Quality Glass and Vapes in Denver (2022), before returning to AmeriCorps. [12/2023]

Nicholas Dobbs is a Senior Security Systems Analyst at DirectDefense, a data security company. After graduating, Nicholas worked as a Solutions Engineer at Varpath (2018-2019). Ben Garfin teaches permaculture and yoga at Hawk & Hathorne, an intentional community, permaculture farm, and event venue in Barnadsville, North Carolina.  Ben studied permaculture and collaborative work in the Skill Building program at Bullock Permaculture Homestead on Orcas Island, Washington.  He also completed a one-year internship at Compass Rose Farm on the Olympic Peninsula, where he also did permaculture coursework at the Dirt Rich School; and he did a hen and cattle rotation at Mosaic Farm in Washington State.  He received his certification as a Hatha Yoga Teacher from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Val Morin, Quebec. Michaela Miller is a Programmatic Account Strategist at Business Insider in New York City. After CC, she worked as an Assistant Manager for a Gerard Darel storefront (2019-2020), while completing a Master’s degree in Marketing Strategy and Innovation at the Cass Business School in London. She worked as a Digital Marketing Intern at IntelliBonds Ltd in London (2020) and as a Marketing Executive for the London-based women’s accessory company, Elvie (2021-22). Lachlan Nutting is an Outdoor Educator at the Chewonki Foundation, an environmental education center in Maine. Upon graduation from CC, Lachlan worked at the Thatcher School in Ojai, California, as a Horse Department Intern (2018-19) and Horse Camping Director (2019-20).  She then completed Master’s in Educational Psychology at the University of Virginia (2021), joining Chewonki soon afterwards in 2022. Cameron Pattison began doctoral studies in Philosophy at Vanderbilt University in 2023. After CC, Cameron moved to Vermont, working first as a Cutter, making handmade gloves in a traditional craft fashion at the Green Mountain Glove Company (2018).  He then began working at the Sharon Academy as a Tutor, After School Program Head, and Transportation Coordinator (2018-2019). He moved to the Brunswick School to be Program Coordinator and Outdoor Educator (2019-2020) and then Assistant Director (2020-2021). Joe Purtell is a San Francisco-based freelance writer, radio journalist, and film producer focused on how people live in changing landscapes, inequalities in environmental protection, and his own outdoor adventures. His work has been featured in The New York Times, NBC News, Outside Magazine, and Mother Jones, among others. He also has produced radio stories for NPR affiliates and documentary films. Following graduation from CC, Joe worked as an Editorial Intern for the Reno Gazette-Journal (2018) and an Editorial Fellow for Sierra Magazine. He was a contract Literature Teacher at the Bay School of San Francisco (2021) and a Tutor at the Drew School (2021). Joe completed an M.A. in Sociology and Social Anthropology at the Central European University (2022-23). Since 2015, he has also been the Editor-in-Chief of the Colorado College Alpine Journal. Lauren Robinson has been a self-employed creative content writer and multimedia visual artist focusing on health and wellness since 2020.  After CC, Lauren worked as a Gallery Host at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver (2018-2019). Jared Russell is a Denver-based Senior Associate focusing on climate and sustainability at the Boston Consulting Group, a global business strategy company. After graduation from CC, Jared worked as a Client Advocate and Case Specialist in Legal Immigration Services for Catholic Charities USA in Pueblo (2018-2019). He then completed Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Management at University of Melbourne in Australia (2019-2020). While at Melbourne, he was the Director and Founder of the Ormond Law and Policy Research Clinic (2019-2020). From 2020-22, Jared was a Rotary Scholar and M.Phil. student in International Development at University of Oxford. Antonio Soto was Assistant Director of Development in the Office of the Vice President at Northwestern University (2022-23). After graduation, Antonio worked as a Fellow for the Office of Campus Activities (2019-2021) and as Assistant Residential Life Coordinator (2021) at Colorado College. Izzy Steucek is a Licensed Social Worker with the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute Medical Group (2023-present). After graduating from CC, Izzy was a Patient Care Assistant at Denver Springs (2019-20). She then began the Master’s program in Public Health at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, earning her MPH in 2022. While at CU Anschutz, she was a Wellness Intern for College Track (2019-2020) and a Transplant Social Work Intern for Centura Health (2021-22). Samuel White is doctoral student in Philosophy at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.  Following CC, Sam moved to Prague and worked as a freelance TEFL Certified ESL Instructor (2018-2019) and then as a Sous Chef and Kitchen Supervisor for The Down Under restaurant in Prague (2019-2020). In 2020, he worked for U.S. Census in Asheville, North Carolina, as a Census Enumerator.  He completed the Research Master’s track in Theoretical Philosophy at Groningen (2121-23) and works there as a Thesis Writing Instructor, supporting undergraduate students in Philosophy. Tselate Dawit has been a Software Support Engineer since 2022 with Searchspring, an ecommerce search and merchandising platform. She is also licensed realtor in Aurora for Homesmart (2021-present). After graduating, Tselate was a Human Resources Coordinator for HSS, a security company (2019), and then a Shareholder Operations Coordinator for the Black Creek Group, an investment management company in Denver (2019-2020). She began working in real estate as Licensed Realtor for Keller Williams Realty in Aurora in 2020, before moving to Homesmart in 2021. [12/2023]

Lena Farr-Morrissey is a member of Seattle-based dream pop project, Coral Grief. She sings and plays the bass and synthesizer for the band. They released their debut EP in 2020 to some acclaim. [12/2023]

Carson Fritz recently completed an M.A. in Social Sciences from University of Chicago (2020-2021) and is now working as a Paralegal for Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu in New York (2021-present). After CC, Carson worked as an Assistant Teacher for Open Space Early Learning Center in Chicago (2019-2020). Noah Gaby has been Head Coach at HERO Kids Sports in Denver since 2023.  After being graduated from CC, Noah worked for City Year Denver, an educational non-profit associated with AmeriCorps, as a Red Jacket Society Member and a Student Success Coach (2019-20). Following stints as an Amazon delivery driver in Centennial and a bartender in Boulder, he became a Logistics Account Trainee at Total Quality Logistics (2022) before beginning coaching at HERO Kids. Landis Hackett is an Assistant Product Manager at Bendable Labs, a technology, consulting, and research firm. After graduation, Landis worked briefly as Operations Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator at Food to Power in Colorado Springs.  He then worked as personal Campaign Assistant on the Kyle Tisdel for Congress campaign in Taos, New Mexico (2019-20).  He was Project Coordinator (2020-21) and Support Staff (2021) for the AmeriCorps Know Your Issue Project at The College of New Jersey. Qian (Alice) Huang is a Software Engineer at Roblox, a multiplayer game creation platform in the Bay Area. After completing her undergraduate degree, Qian moved to Shanghai and worked as an Editorial and Publishing Intern at East China Normal University Press (2019). She then moved to Chicago, where she completed an M.A. in Philosophy at DePaul University (2019-2021). While at DePaul, she worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She next moved to Georgia, where she completed an M.S. in Computational Data Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology (2021-2022).  She held an internship as a Full Stack Developer at Tradeweb in the New York City area (summer 2022), before moving to Roblox in 2023. Paxton Hyde became a Legislative Policy Advisor at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in Denver in 2023. After completing his CC degree, Paxton worked for Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions in Albuquerque, as a Group Cook (2019) and as Group Leader (2018-2021). He studied data science at Galvanize Inc in 2019-20; and he worked as a GOTV Fellow for the Colorado Democratic Party in Denver in 2020.  He was a Legislative Aide to Colorado State Representative Edie Hooton from 2021 to 2023. Matt Rosen is a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at New College, University of Oxford. His research focuses on the intersection of philosophy, literature, and theology. While finishing his CC degree, he studied at the University of Warwick. He has authored nine publications, including two books, “Speculative Annihilationism: The Intersection of Archaeology and Extinction” (2019) and the edition, “Diseases of the Head: Essays on the Horrors of Speculative Philosophy” (2020). He has taught a number of courses at Oxford. Murray Rosenbaum is a teacher and event manager in New York.  Since 2021, he has been Lead Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools in Brooklyn and, since 2022, a Middle School Science Teacher at Harlem Village Academies.  In addition, he serves Social Media Manager at the Cypress Inn Café & Bar, a community-driven mom-and-pop café in Brooklyn. Marve Romero Aguinaga enrolled in the M.S.W. program at the University of Denver in 2022 and expects to be graduated in 2024.  At DU, Marve works as a Mental Health Intern, and she serves as chair of the Student Advisory Committee on Jed Foundation initiative to promote emotional health and prevent suicide.  After completing her CC degree, she worked as part-time Peer Program Associate (2020-21) and full-time Program Assistant (2021-22) at Inside Out Youth Services in El Paso County nonprofit serving LBGTQIA+ youth. Andrew Braswell enrolled in the J.D. program at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2021 and expects to be graduated in 2024.  In 2022, he also began the joint M.B.A. program at Santa Clara, which he also expects to complete it in 2024.  He worked as a Legal Intern at Duane Morris LLL in the summer of 2022.
