Update on Department of Labor Regulations
I write to update you on CC’s response to the Department of Labor’s new regulations regarding overtime pay. While numerous lawsuits have been filed to block the new rules, like many other institutions, we have decided to move forward with the changes necessary for the college to be in compliance by the required implementation date, December 1, 2016.
About 50 CC employees are impacted by the DOL’s new overtime regulations. Each of these employees will receive a letter that explains the change to their employment classification. In addition, Human Resources will conduct several information sessions for these individuals and their supervisors.
