Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

After three years of dedicated service, Libby Rittenberg is stepping down from the role of ombudsperson on June 30. I ask that you read the job description and nominate individuals you think would best serve the college as our next ombudsperson. Staff nominations should be sent to Staff Council Co-Chair Joseph Sharman (jsharman@coloradocollege.edu), and faculty nominations should be sent to Faculty Executive Committee Chair Gail Murphy-Geiss (gmurphygeiss@coloradocollege.edu). All nominations should be submitted before 5 p.m. Monday, April 20. The FEC and Staff Council will review the nominations and submit up to six candidates to the Board of Trustees Executive Committee and me. Before the June Board of Trustees meeting, the top candidates will be consulted about their interest in serving as the next ombudsperson. We will select the next ombudsperson at that June meeting. The new ombudsperson will begin his or her duties July 1. If there are any questions, please let me know.
