Changes in Advancement

Dear Colleagues,

I write to share the news that Sean Pieri has resigned from the position of Vice President for Advancement at Colorado College. Our community owes Sean a debt of gratitude for his leadership and work on behalf of the college over the past six years.

Under Sean's leadership, overall fundraising increased nearly 200% to an average of nearly $38 million annually. Alumni donors increased 30% and the annual fund grew from $2.1 million to $3.4 million. Sean also led the commencement of the Building on Originality Campaign, an initiative that has raised more than $337 million, created 66 new endowed scholarships, and provided funding for buildings on campus including Tutt Library.

While transition is never easy, I am confident that the Advancement Division established under Sean's leadership will position the college to successfully conclude the campaign by reaching its goal of $435 million. I have asked Mark Hille to step in and lead our fundraising efforts.

Please join me in thanking Sean for his service to Colorado College.

Sincerely,

Jill
