Antiracism

The Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness is committed to supporting the colleges efforts to build and maintain a culture of inclusion. Below are some of the proactive efforts the office is undertaking.

Language Review

We are reviewing and modifying the language used in survey questions, communications, and presentations of data for underlying biases and/or racist tones, as well as any enhancements which would convey the college's priority to become an antiracist community.

Collaboration Teams

When building collaboration teams in support of the president and other college leadership, the IPE office proactively lobbies for underrepresented and underutilized voices to be part of all collaboration teams, as appropriate for the project. This covers, but is not limited to, Block Project teams and Strategic Plan Implementation teams.

Diversity and Equity Advisory Board (DEAB) Support

The IPE office works with the president each year to develop a charge for the DEAB, which aligns with the institutional goals of the college and the strategic plan. Further, the IPE office actively supports the co-chairs in their work, providing administrative and logistical support.

Professional Development

Members of the IPE office are active in supporting and participating in programming efforts, professional development opportunities, and general education opportunities.
