Eco-Outpost
Eco-outpost’s primary goal is to reduce the consumption of single-use plastics and environmentally harmful household items on college campuses. Outpost will open refill stations, also known as zero-waste stores, at participating colleges to achieve this goal. Ideally, customers will bring their own containers and refill them with the desired product (dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap, etc.). The ability to purchase a reusable container will also be offered. Students will be able to use meal plan money as a means of payment, making it inclusive and accessiblee to all on campus. The hope is that the refill stations will serve as an on-going effort that helps cultivate a culture of sustainability in other ways across campuses.
