Ryan McLauchlan ’21 (FGS and Neuroscience Double Major) to begin a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University

The Feminist and Gender Studies Department is delighted to share that Ryan McLauchlan (FGS and Neuroscience double major ‘21) will be starting a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University starting this fall.  Seattle Pacific University is “a Christian university fully committed to engaging the culture and changing the world by graduating people of competence and character, becoming people of wisdom, and modeling grace-filled community.”  Ryan will be joining the PhD program after having recently completed a Masters of Education in Counseling at the University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, WA.  She is planning on focusing her doctoral research on OCD and alternative methods of treatment.  Ryan is most excited about being able to devise her own research in ways that are committed to questions of accessibility, social justice, and community-engagement. She is deeply grateful to her family and partner who have been “nothing but supportive” of her academic journey.

Congratulations, Ryan!  We are so proud to know you!
