The exchange program with the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen has been in existence since the mid 1960s. It brings to Colorado College a student from that university and allows a Colorado College student a scholarship for one year of study at Göttingen. Credits for the study abroad are transferable to the home institution. The grant includes tuition remission as well as a monthly stipend of approximately 500 Euro to defray expenses for room, board, and related expenses. An additional scholarship for the year abroad is made available through a grant from the Max Kade Foundation.
Göttingen is located in the state of Lower Saxony in Northern Germany and is one of the oldest and most renowned institutions in Germany. Its geographical location allows easy access to Eastern European countries, the Benelux countries, and Scandinavia. The contact person for this program in Göttingen is Ms. Christiane Seack in the International Office.
