Mission
The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE) provides data and analytical support to the Colorado College community, informing data-driven planning, policy decisions, and institutional effectiveness. The office also has oversight of select required external reporting, including the U.S. Department of Education, the Colorado Department of Higher Education, the College’s accrediting body, and other professional organizations.
What We Do
Collect, analyze, interpret, and report data
- Coordinate research efforts that align with institutional priorities, including survey design/administration and utilizing other existing data resources
- Provide required data to external agencies and internal stakeholders
Plan and evaluate
- Support the institution's evaluative processes related to operational, budgetary, and strategic planning
- Support institutional work related to maintaining accreditation
Steward data and educate consumers
- Aiding areas in deciding what data to use and whether interpretations are accurate and appropriate for their specific context
- Ensuring appropriate data accessibility and usability to end-users
- Promote data literacy across the College
