Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is dedicated to supporting the educational mission of Colorado College by providing professional mental health services to students. The Counseling Center is available to all enrolled Colorado College students. There is no fee for the first six sessions of counseling. There is a fee for psychiatrist medication services. Please consult your health insurance provider for details on your mental health coverage and benefits.  Financial support is offered through the College and no student is denied services for financial reasons.

Students seek counseling for a variety of reasons.  Learning skills that can help a person manage their feelings and behaviors is a common reason.  Interpersonal issues stemming from relationships are also a reason.  Feelings of sadness and anxiety are the most common reasons students come to the Counseling Center.  Meetings with a counselor are confidential by law.  Students requesting an appointment will be sent electronic forms to fill out to provide the Counselor with some information about your issues.
