Special Events

Members of the Colorado College community can keep up-to-date on special events throughout the year by "liking" Spiritual Life on Facebook, subscribing to an event listserv (contact the Chaplains' Office to be added), or watching for flyers and digest announcements. Information on any event can also be obtained directly from the Chaplains' Office by phone (x6638) or email.

Art & Spirituality Series

These events offer participants hands-on experiences of various creative forms to explore art as spiritual practice.

Embodiment Spiritual Practices

Heart-centered meditation, an adjunct Qi Gong class, and nature reflections are all opportunities offered to students as a chance to explore the connection between spirituality and the body.

Hospitality Events

Breakfast burrito mornings, muffin mania mornings, emergency dance parties, popcorn on the porch, game nights, and movie nights are examples of hospitality events that promote community on campus. They are offered randomly throughout the year.

Interfaith Leadership

Student representatives of campus spiritual organizations gather to discuss matters of spiritual life on campus, provide mutual support, and consider cooperative programs such as the annual Faith Awareness Event.

Men's & Women's Spirituality Circles

A safe space for students of all gender identities to explore the connections among spirituality, religion, and gender in community.

Retreats at Baca

Held twice a year (during second and seventh block breaks), these retreats offer students an opportunity for reflection, relaxation, and fun away from campus. Retreat themes have included such topics as sacred stories and contemplative practice. While at Baca, participants can also visit some of the diverse spiritual communities in the Crestone area.

Spiritual Journeys Series

This occasional event gathers students, faculty, staff, and invited visitors for conversations about issues of faith. The featured guest shares their spiritual history and where they find meaning and inspiration in life. Meets approximately once each block at 12:15pm in the Chapel's Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse. Free buffet lunch is provided.
