One of the greatest aspects of the college experience is being a part of a great college tradition - a highly anticipated event that provides a sense of belonging, pride, school spirit and overall a sense of community. Below are a few annual events and festivals that are highly anticipated. For more events and programs check out the CC Event Calendar as well as following us on Facebook for event updates.
LoCCal Festival (Block 1)
Kicking off the school year and Block 1, the annual “LoCCal Fest” is a great opportunity to enjoy all things local -- from music to food and beverage to art. Planned by students, funded by CCSGA, and supported by Residential Life & Campus Activities, this event is open to Colorado College constituents; vendors and complimentary refreshments will be provided.
Family & Friends Weekend (Block 2)
With a wide variety of academic, artistic, athletic, cultural, and social opportunities available on our beautiful campus and in the surrounding community, there will be many ways for families and students "to CC" together!
Each year hundreds of alumni and friends gather at the college for Homecoming. Join us for Homecoming traditions such as Freedom and Authority, Homecoming Convocation, and the all-campus picnic under the tent. We’ll also celebrate annual traditions including our fireworks celebration and a homecoming kick-off party with faculty.
Each year Residential Life & Campus Activities teams with student organizations and other campus partners to sponsor a series of events that provide a fun and safe space for students to enjoy Halloween festivities. Past favorites include costume dance parties, pumpkin carving contests, midnight breakfast, costume contest themed skate night, scary movies, and a hypnotist.
Winter Ball (Block 5)
Colorado College’s annual Winter Ball during first weekend of Block 5 is a formal themed dance that takes place in downtown Colorado Springs. This event is free of charge and open to all CC students. As student safety is a top priority, shuttles to and from campus/the venue are provided. Students may board the shuttles at the Worner Campus Center. Refreshments are provided. This event is planned and sponsored by Residential Life & Campus Activities.
Entry requires CC ID. A limited number of guest tickets will be available at the Worner Desk.
Llamapalooza (Block 8)
CC’s Llamapalooza is an annual music festival that takes place every third weekend of Block 8 on the Worner Quad. This event is free and open to all CC students. This is a glorious time to roll out blankets and relax on the lawn and enjoy an array of musical acts. Refreshments will be provided. The event is sponsored by CCSGA. Residential Life & Campus Activities along with the Llamapalooza Committee coordinate the music festival.
Entry requires CC ID. Guest and community tickets will be available for purchase at the Worner Desk
