Bill is chairman and chief executive officer, El Pomar Foundation; vice chairman, The Broadmoor Hotel, Inc; president emeritus, United States Olympic Committee; chairman, United States Olympic Endowment; U.S. Representative to the 56th General Assembly of the United Nations, 2009-present; and vice chairman, U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy. He is on the Board of Directors, FirstBank, Holding Company of Colorado, Denver, Colorado; Board of Directors, Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway; chairman, Board of Trustees, Air Force Academy Foundation; vice chairman, Board of Directors, International Foundation for Electoral Systems; and civilian aide emeritus to the secretary of the Army, Colorado, 1986-present. He was president, Colorado College Alumni Association, 1973-1974; member, 25th Reunion Planning Committee, since 1986; member 25th Reunion Planning Committee, 1989; recipient of the Gary L. McPherson Distinguished Alumni Award; an inductee into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame, 2004; and received the Citizen of the West award, 2003. Bill was elected to CC's Board of Trustees in 1978 and served in that role until 2013, when he was elected to Life Trusteeship.
