Non-Degree Seeking Students
Non-degree seeking student status at Colorado College is designed for individuals who want to take one or two courses for personal enrichment, professional development, prerequisite coursework, or other educational goals without pursuing a Colorado College degree. Non-degree students may enroll in courses on a space-available basis and receive academic credit or audit eligible courses. Because degree-seeking students receive priority registration, course availability cannot be guaranteed. Students interested in earning a Colorado College bachelor's degree in the future should review our first-year, transfer, or returning student admission options before applying as a non-degree seeking student.
How to Apply as a Non-Degree Seeking Student
You may apply as a non-degree seeking student if you wish to enroll in up to two Colorado College courses per semester without pursuing a degree. Students seeking a second bachelor's degree should apply as full-time transfer students. We discourage students from taking courses as a non-degree student if they intend to apply later as a full-time degree-seeking student.
Note that if you already have a bachelor's degree, you are not eligible for financial aid from CC.
Once you have received your admission decision, accept your offer through the Admit Reply Form on the applicant portal.
Some courses, particularly high-demand science and pre-medical courses, may have limited or no availability for non-degree seeking students. Degree-seeking students receive priority registration for all courses. Admission as a non-degree seeking student does not guarantee future admission to Colorado College as a degree-seeking student.
