Our CC: Safeguarding the CC Experience in a Shifting Landscape
What’s Happening
Federal lawmakers are considering policy changes that could significantly impact the financial model of colleges and universities nationwide — and small, private colleges like Colorado College may be disproportionately affected.
Schools with no more than 3,000 tuition-paying students, including CC, were exempted from recent legislation increasing the excise tax on college endowments. Still, lawmakers are proposing legislation that could impact colleges’ ability to issue tax-exempt debt, as well as reductions to federal financial aid and research funding — all of which would have immediate and lasting consequences for CC’s budget and impact current and future students.
Thank you for standing with Colorado College and future generations of CC students.
