Assessment Procedures

Some faculty teaching Social Inequality have indicated they wish to use a particular class assignment, unrelated to assessment per se, as the assessment tool. Others have indicated they prefer a more standardized essay question.  In the last week of such a course, a one-page form will be given to each student, with one question derived from the learning outcome identified by COI for review that year, and asking the student to write a short narrative response (250-500 words).
