Trip Itineraries

All NSO and WSO trip itineraries vary depending on site location, site host needs, and many other logistics but the itineraries below will provide a general idea of what the Orientation Week will look like and what incoming students can expect!

Itineraries

Wednesday, August 18th and Thursday, August 19th: MOVE IN and Residence Hall Meetings

All incoming students will move into their residence halls with help from NSO and Move In Leaders. Arrival COVID-19 Testing must be everyone's first stop when they arrive! That evening students will have a Hall Meeting with their Resident Advisors.

Friday, August 20th-Tuesday, August 24th: On campus Orientation Activities and Fun!

Each day students will have Large Mandatory Sessions on Zoom and in person in small group discussions and activities with their Priddy Leaders. Each afternoon will be filled with Choose Your Own CC Adventure Sessions to help incoming students learn more about CC! The evenings will be spent in their small Priddy Groups and having fun with large group social activities!

Wednesday, August 25th-Friday, August 27th: Priddy Experience!

This year all Priddy Groups will be staying local within Colorado Springs! We are excited to take a “deep dive” into the local Colorado Springs culture, community, and outdoor spaces during orientation. Throughout the Priddy Experience, we will be facilitating a fun, experiential, and small group experience that enables you to connect to CC, meet other incoming students and begin to develop friendships while learning about life at CC and how you can be successful here. Each Priddy Group will be participating in community engagement, sense of place and cultural day activities locally within and around Colorado Springs. By staying on campus and staying local, we will be able to adhere to any and all social distancing requirements while creating a fun, safe, and welcoming experience similar to our traditional off campus Priddy trips.

Each day Priddy Groups will participate in one of the following Day Activities:

  • Community Service in Colorado Springs!
  • Sense of Place Downtown Activity
  • Local Exploration: Day Hike

The evenings will be spent within small Priddy Groups where NSO Leaders will help to build community through fun and engaging discussion topics and activities as well as fun social events!

Saturday, August 28th: CC FEST!

CC Fest will be an exciting day full of activities to help wrap up Orientation Week! The morning will have optional activities to help kick off your day the right way including; morning yoga, mediation, and group fitness classes!

The afternoon and early evening will have a fun Festival atmopshere with a variety of games, live music, inflatables, and food trucks!

Get Active with Athletics will help wrap up the day with a variety of fun activities taking place in and around the El Pomar Fitness Center and will end with a Late Night Breakfast underneath the Worner Tent!

*Please note this is a tentative WSO schedule and will be updated in Fall 2021.
