South Hall

Please be advised that the South Hall elevator will remain out of service due to damage caused by a water leak earlier this year on the 4th floor. The repair work, which will be performed by TKE, includes a full modernization of the elevator system, replacement of damaged components, and updates to meet current code standards.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this essential maintenance.

Ticknor Hall

Due to flooding, the basement and first floor of Ticknor Hall sustained significant damage. Ameri-Dri is currently onsite providing clean-up and remediation, and our Environmental Health & Safety team is working as quickly as possible. Drying equipment is scheduled to be removed from the basement (Bon App) on September 8 and is projected to be removed from the first floor on September 12. Once drying equipment has been removed, crews will begin put back work in the affected areas. We will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses.

Please avoid the affected area and give the crews space to complete their work safely.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Spencer Center

Starting 9 a.m. on Monday, September 29 through Tuesday, October 8, Olson Heating and Plumbing will be performing HVAC system repairs at the Spencer Center.

Several areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors may experience minor temperature fluctuations, and thermostats will be inaccessible during this time. All work will be contained to the basement, and no disruptions to offices or other spaces are expected.

The project has been scheduled to minimize disturbance, and we appreciate your patience while this work is completed.

Barnes Science Center

Contractors from Buffalo Builders will be onsite to complete repairs in the 5th floor hallway of Barnes near the Greenhouse. Building ventilation will be offline for approximately eight hours while this work is underway. All stairwells and elevators will remain in service, but loud noise and a dusty environment should be expected.

To minimize congestion and allow the team to complete the repairs within the ventilation outage window, please avoid the 5th floor hallway if possible.

Thank you for your patience while these necessary repairs are completed.
