Student Research Funding from NSEC

The Taber Fund is intended to provide an award to CC students who are natural science majors to attend a professional meeting in order to present their research. The award should be used for conference expenses such as registration, travel, and lodging. The Natural Sciences Executive Committee typically issues a call for proposal in Block 6 and awards as many as five to seven $500 grants for student conference travel. Applications should be a single page in length, should detail the research being presented, and should indicate the student recipient of the award. The student should be an undergraduate at the time of the conference.

The Lindeman Fund is intended to support a student research project at Colorado College under the supervision of a chemistry or physics faculty member. The Natural Sciences Executive Committee typically issues a call for proposal in Block 6 and grants a single $4000 student fellowship award. Applications should be a single page in length, should detail the research being conducted, and should indicate the student recipient of the award.

The Dille Fund is intended to provide support for a collaborative faculty-student research project at Colorado College in the natural sciences. This award is particularly suited to students wishing to pursue a career in secondary education related to Science, Technology, and Math fields. The Natural Sciences Executive Committee typically issues a call for proposal in Block 6 and awards a single $4800 request. Applications should be a single page in length, should detail the research being conducted, and should indicate the student recipient of the award.
