The ADA Coordinator assists in promoting and maintaining an inclusive and accessible community for students, faculty, staff, and guests of the college. In collaboration with others on campus, including Human Resources and Facilities Services, the ADA Coordinator promotes efforts to remove barriers and to ensure equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities.
It is the policy of Colorado College to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other applicable federal and state laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability. In support of this, the ADA Coordinator serves as a referral point for disability-related information, services, and resources; provides consultation on policies and procedures related to persons with disabilities; and assists with the college’s disability-related grievance and complaint procedures.
