Because a Little Distance Can't Stop the Music......
Despite the disruptions caused by the COVID19 pandemic, the Summer Music Festival carried on, albeit in a new and unprecedented format. Our faculty pulled together from all over North America to plan online master classes and creative classes for our fellows, our donors and the CC Community. Many of these classes were recorded; watch them here!
Festival faculty members Scott Yoo and Grace Park, violin; Toby Appel, viola; Mark Kosower, cello; Susan Cahill, bass; Alice Dade and Julie Thornton, flute; Jon Manasse, clarinet; Michael Thornton, horn; and Susan Grace and Orion Weiss, piano, gave us two socially distant, live broadcast concerts direct from Packard Hall.
Check back soon - we will have more mastered video of the two concerts to share with you, as they become available.
Sunday, June 21 at 3 pm featured Jon Manasse performing Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A Major and Bartok's Contrasts. Find the full program and performers here.
Program notes from Michael Grace's Pre-Concert Lecture can be found here.
These performances are from the June 21 Live from Packard Hall concert. See links above for program and program notes.
