What was your experience at CC like as an MB major?

Molecular Biology is a notoriously hard major, but with the connection that I built with my professors and advisors both in and out of class, I knew I had a support system I could rely on. The classes were great and touched on how the topics relate to culture and society, which I appreciated.

Why were you interested in focusing on MB as your major?

I've always loved biology and knew that having a deeper understanding of a cell would help me in my future career in medicine. Molecular Biology is an ever-changing field, and the possibility to innovate definitely drew me to it.

How are you using your major in your post-CC life?

I use molecular biology almost every day in my classes. The material that I learned at Colorado College helped me establish the foundation I needed to be able to understand the difficult topics that we learn about here at Boston University. Understanding the bigger picture in terms of molecular pathways and how they relate to the human body is something that I don't think I would have gotten without my time at Colorado College. The rigor of a scientific major like Molecular Biology on the block plan translated well into my graduate program.
