AS210: Intermediate Topics in Studio Art: Books Arts & the Environment
Summer Block B, June 24-July 18
Instructor: Jillian Sico, The Press at CC
This course offers an introduction to book arts and papermaking, with a special focus on environmental topics. We will start in the studio by learning the fundamentals of bookbinding and letterpress printing. We will engage in field research and observation on wildfire sites and pollinators, partnering with State of the Rockies, and create paper with recycled and ethically harvested materials in collaboration with the CC Farm.
