A: My musical inspiration comes from the great musicians who have influenced me, both in the past and the present. I was fortunate to have amazing teachers, and to come from a family of musicians, all who showed me the best of the world of music. Every day I am reminded of their teachings and guidance.

Q: What made you first realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?

A: I'm not sure exactly when I decided to become a professional musician, but the joke is that I was paid $5 to play at the local YMCA when I was a kid, and I was so excited at being given cash that I photocopied the $5 bill and probably still have it around somewhere.

Q: What drew you to the Colorado College Summer Music Festival?

A: I am so excited to be a part of the Colorado College Music Festival because I love what it stands for…wonderful musicianship and a supportive, family atmosphere where our daughter has been meeting new friends since she was 5 months old! I love that she sees the same familiar friends, and while the parents are playing beautiful concerts they are playing together. This is a very unique and invaluable quality in a music festival and we are so grateful to Sue for making this possible!
