Medications
Students may be prescribed medications during their visit at the Student Health Center. Students may fill and pick up their prescriptions at a local pharmacy of their choice (such as Walgreens), or elect to have them filled and delivered directly to the CC Mail Center through a special arrangement between CC and The Medicine Shoppe.
Prescription Refill Requests
Options for refilling prescriptions:
1. If you are a Colorado resident and have an existing prescription it may be filled by the Medicine Shoppe and be delivered to the CC Mail Center.

2. Please make an appointment at the on campus Student Health Center if you need a new prescription written. Prescriptions filled by Walgreens, CVS, etc. are not available for pick up at the CC Mail Center.
FAQ's
Where do I pick up my medication when delivered by the Medicine Shoppe?
Prescriptions filled by The Medicine Shoppe will be available for pickup in lockers at the Mail Center.
These lockers are accessible 7 days a week, 8:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
How will I know if my medication has been delivered?
You will receive an email notification from the CC Mail Center with instructions once your medication parcel is delivered and available for pick up.
How long do I have to pickup my medication?
If the parcel is not retrieved within 25 days of delivery it will be returned to The Medicine Shoppe.
What if I can't pick up my medication in the given time-frame?
Students may authorize another student to pick up their parcel for them.
They will need to email the Mail Center directly with the name of who will be picking up. They will label the parcel “only release to [name]” on the package and will ask for identification.
Are my medications available for pickup during Holidays where the Mail Center is normally closed?
When campus is closed for holidays, the Mail Center is also closed. Please plan accordingly.
What if my medication needs to be refrigerated?
The Mail Center cannot accept refrigerated medications. Please make arrangements with Campus Safety or a rideshare service to pick up your refrigerated medications directly from The Medicine Shoppe.
I take an injectable medication. Can I get my injections at the Student Health Center?
The Student Health Center does not provide administration of medications prescribed by outside healthcare providers.
Our team is available to provide education on self-administration when appropriate. If your treatment requires medication to be administrated by a healthcare professional, we can assist with a referral to the appropriate specialist or healthcare provider.
