The 2022 Local Day Experience will be offered during New Student Orientation week on the afternoon of August 24th. Sign up by Sunday, August 14th or else you will be randomly placed!

2) Rregister for your chosen activity via the Sign-up Genius form: Sign up Here!
4) During NSO week, keep an eye out for more information! (Check your email!)
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Spend an hour and a half exploring Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, rated the third best zoo in North America. Learn about habitat conservation, and visit exhibits that include Asian Highlands, Australia Walkabout, and the Rocky Mountain Wild. This site is ADA accessible. Paralympic and Olympic Museum
Colorado Springs is known as the “Olympic City,” so what better way to learn about Olympic history and sports than by visiting the immersive U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum in downtown Colorado Springs! After exploring the museum, you will get to sit down with an Olympian who will chat with the group. This site is ADA accessible. Spend the afternoon learning more about the art community in Colorado Springs while visiting popular artworks around town. On your way back to campus, you will get to stop for ice cream at the renowned local ice cream shop Josh and John’s! This two hour downtown walking tour will be ~2.5 miles round trip on side walks.Garden of the Gods Hike
Enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado Springs at Garden of the Gods National Natural Landmark. Hike through the beautiful sandstone formations and enjoy the views of Pikes Peak. This hike will be ~2 miles and is rated as easy!E-Biking around Colorado Springs
Tour Colorado Springs on electric PikeRides, a great free transportation option that CC students get free access to. Your leaders will guide you around to popular spots in Colorado Springs. On your way back to campus, you will get to stop at Josh and John’s for some ice cream! The bike tour will be a 2 hour excursion. No experience necessary!
