Ersaleen Hope

Assistant Vice President for Staff Equity & Inclusion

Ersaleen comes to CC from the public sector where she proudly championed DEI throughout Colorado State Government. In her time with State Government, she was heavily involved with various state department and community partners making equity improvements using principles of organization justice, implementation science, change management, statistical analysis, and organizational development. She has facilitated many workshops related to ADEI topics and is passionate about creating awareness about structural barriers and our responsibility to dismantle systems of oppression. She was a contributing member of the Colorado State Gov Equity Alliance & Cabinet, she actively participates on the Colorado Department of Healthcare and Environment Community Advisory Board, and she is a member of Blacks in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Ersaleen is a first-generation college graduate holding a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Everest University, a M.P.A. from Purdue University, a M.S. in Psychology from Capella University, and is a PHD candidate at Walden University where she is working on her dissertation exploring Enablers of Modern-Day Discrimination. She is competent in Motivational Interviewing and is finishing up her BCC in Evidence Based Leadership Coaching with a focus on diversity management.

Ersaleen’s lived experience, public, private, and non-profit experience, education, and empathy has motivated her dedication to supporting and creating a culture of inclusive excellence where all have an opportunity to be their authentic self and do something profound in their lifetime. She is inspired by her personal upbringing and poverty adjacent experiences, her cultivated relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, her family and friends, and a genuine belief in a just world. Her hope is to live up to her name and be the change as she humbly becomes Dr. Hope.
