We are excited that you will be joining us on campus this July for an enriching academic experience. Our Summer Pre-College program gives you the opportunity to dive into your passions, explore new subjects, and get a taste of the outstanding liberal arts education at Colorado College.
This summer will be an unforgettable chance to challenge yourself academically, gain independence, and build lasting connections with peers who share your intellectual curiosity. We can't wait to welcome you to Colorado College!

Before You Arrive
Getting to Campus
Students will complete the Pre-Arrival Form in their applicant portal, notifying us of their travel arrangements. There will be CC shuttles available at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m. at both DEN and COS airports. All students must report to campus no later than 5 p.m. on July 12 to attend the mandatory housing and safety presentations.
Students arriving outside of the CC shuttle windows are encouraged to utilize Groome Transportation which offers direct shuttle service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Colorado Springs every day. Reservations are recommended to ensure you have a seat. Check out Groome Transportation or call (719) 687-3456 for details on arrival times and bus stops. A one-way ticket will cost about $45.00 USD.
If your are a parent driving to campus, please stand by for additional parking details as we get closer to the program start date.
Move In
Move in is on July 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Pre-College students.
Keys and Gold Card
All Pre-College Students will use their Gold Card to purchase meals, scan into their residence hall, and more. Be sure to upload a picture of yourself for your Gold Card in your portal prior to arrival.
There is a $25 lost Gold Card fee and a $75 lost key fee.
Move-Out
Move out begins for Pre-College students, after class ends, at 12 p.m. on July 29. Students will have until July 30 at 12 p.m. to move out. CC will provide transportation to DEN and COS airports at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on July 29 and at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on July 30. Students leaving outside of these windows are encouraged to use Groome Transportation.

Charles L. Tutt Library is a hub for research, learning, and intellectual community, providing welcoming and inclusive space for students to learn, grow, and thrive at Colorado College.
The Colorado College Campus safety team works 24 hours a day to keep our students safe. You may see them walking around campus — don't hesitate to say hello!

Meals will be served in Rastall Café, an all-you-care-to-eat dining facility with a rotating menu of dishes with vegan, vegetarian, and made without gluten-containing ingredient options.
Need a snack? Craving a coffee during your mid-class break? Look no further! Colorado Coffee offers a variety of cafe items such as coffee, espresso, bagels, yerba matte, muffins, and more!
The center of athletic life on campus, our sports center has a fully equipped weight room, basketball courts, climbing wall and pool. We also have the Tiger Trail running trail and Tennis Courts rights behind the El Pomar Sports Center.
Summer hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Packing List
Pre-College students will be residing in Loomis Hall. Each room includes:
- Bed with linens (includes pillow/pillow case, sheets, light comforter, bed spread, and towel)
- Desk and chair
- Dresser
- Wireless internet
- Mini Fridge and microwave
- Fan
For grocery needs, students can go to the CC store or go to a local grocery store accompanied by our van certified Residential Advisors.

- Comfy walking shoes
- Closed toe shoes for hiking
- Sunscreen
- Hat with a brim- Baseball cap or sunhat
- Laundry bag and detergent (this can also be purchased on a grocery store trip with our Residential Advisors)
- Toothbrush, toiletries, soap, shampoo, conditioner etc
- Any medication(s) you may take on a daily or occasional basis
- Shower shoes
- Backpack/book bag
- Class supplies (may be purchased at the CC bookstore)

If you do not have access to a laptop, one can be rented through Tutt Library! Computers are also available for use during open library hours.

Summers in Colorado Springs have warm days and cool nights, so please bring suitable clothing.
Colorado College will provide gear at no charge for climbing, art classes, volleyball, basketball, and yoga.

Sense of Place Experience: On Saturdays, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in local community and location. Urban trips may include outings to Denver's Meow Wolf Convergence Station, and nearby museums such as the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Hiking trips may include visiting Garden of the Gods, Leadville, and Twin Lakes.
During Sundays, students have the chance to catch up on course work, relax and rejuvenate. Residential Advisors will provide optional programming. Students will also have the chance to run errands.
