National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship

 

Description


The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.


Award


The GRFP provides up to three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research. The GRFP supports over 100 sub disciplines, including social sciences and psychology as well as the hard sciences. In the 2014 competition season, over 14,000 applications were submitted to the GRFP, and 2,000 highly qualified graduate students were offered awards.
