James Madison Memorial Fellowship

Description

The James Madison Graduate Fellowships are awarded to students who intend to teach American history, American government, or social studies in a secondary-school setting and who wish to pursue a master's degree (not Ph.D.) in the field of American history, political science, or education.


Award

One fellow will be chosen from each state based on the student's legal residence through a nationally administered competition.

The maximum amount of each award is $24,000 total for two years of study toward master's degree.
