Students will live and study at the campus of our partner in Osaka, CET, studying Japanese language and culture both from CC faculty and local Osaka faculty. The program includes a peer language "buddy" program as well as excursions within Osaka and to the Mt. Fuji region.
This program has no prerequisites and is available to students who have completed JA101 or have an equivalent placement.
Osaka, Japan: Our Destination
The CC in Japan program is located in Osaka, Japan's 3rd largest city and one of the nation's economic hubs. Located on the island of Honshu, with a coast along the large Osaka Bay, the city is in close proximity to other fascinating locations, including Japan's former capital, Kyoto, and the cities of Kobe and Nara. Students will spend most of the 2-block program in Osaka, with local and regional field trips, but will also visit the Fujiyoshida region, at the northern face of Mt. Fuji during the 2nd of the program's 2 blocks.
If you want to learn more about Osaka, their official tourism website is an excellent starting point to discover this exciting and intriguing city.
