Advanced Topics in Ethnic American Literatures:

Explores advanced theoretical and literary issues, questions, and themes raised in the literature, culture and theory of various American ethnic writings including but not limited to African American, Asian American, Native American, and Latinx literatures. Provides in depth examination of the foundations and the possible futures of literary approaches to race and ethnicity in the United States by highlighting the role literature plays in creating and maintaining racial and ethnic identities. Prerequisite: English 100, English 250, or consent of instructor.
